After eight intensive weeks and with the help of six motivated students, another Smart Lab was completed. The aim was to lay the foundations for the expansion of AFMI’s customer base through in-depth market research. The company from Hengelo is characterized by the production of turned and milled parts with particularly high quality requirements; knowledge and skills that it would like to offer to companies beyond the oil and gas industry.
The interdisciplinary team not only contributed knowledge from their own specialist fields, but also ventured into new areas. Following the identification of promising markets, which were presented at the mid-term catch-up, the focus of the research shifted to three sectors that were analyzed particularly intensively. The aim was to collect specific companies, locations and contacts. The results have now been presented to AFMI as part of a final presentation, thus setting the starting point for further work. AFMI will now deepen the knowledge gained and translate it into concrete measures.
