Excavator, bucket, angle, force triangle: these and other details for calibrating the new hydraulic excavator scale were discussed by the students of the Smart Solution Labs at the kick-off at Pfreundt.
Marco Becker and Wolfgang Holtermans took the time to explain the task to the students and work together to come up with initial ideas.
With the support of innovation coaches Markus Könning and Jacques Bazen, they started the design thinking process to simplify and automate the calibration. Among other things, they learned that bright sunshine is bad weather when calibrating with lasers.
