Successful kick-off for the new Interreg project “Smart Solution Labs”

About 40 representatives of all cooperation partners from both sides of the border
accompanied the opening event in the Kult in Vreden. After the welcome talk with Dr. Elisabeth Schwenzow (executive board of the Kreis Borken), WFG managing director Dr. Daniel Schultewolter and Dinand de Jong, deputy president of the EUREGIO council, WFG project manager Renate Warmers presented the project with its opportunities for students and companies. “Within the framework of the ‘Smart Solution Labs’, students from different universities and disciplines work across borders on current tasks of companies from the region. The companies receive innovative impulses from outside, and the students gain insights into the innovative work of companies in the region,” said Warmers.

In the panel discussion with Koen Mentink (Hittech Bihca BV), Renate Warmers (WFG), Markus Schwering (FH Münster) and Sonja Adamsky (Euregio), many opportunities and aspects of the funding project became clear through the multilingual moderation of Sina Kuipers.
The kick-off represented the official starting signal for the preparatory work of the project.
